50K
A 50K plan built around time on your feet
A 50K is about 31 miles. The block is 8 to 16 weeks, with a two-week taper. Long runs grow from the longest run you already have toward about four hours, and a cutback week lands every fourth load week.
Vert is a number, not a vibe
Enter the race elevation gain and how technical the trail is. Weekly vert climbs toward a share of that gain. Hills become repeats. A treadmill becomes incline work. If you have neither, the midweek session is a power hike on stairs or the steepest road you can find.
The clock before you pay
The free overview splits the course into four sections, slows the later ones, and compares the total with a 10 hour cutoff. The buffer is the time left on that clock. Aid, drop bag, and crew notes sit next to it. Carbohydrate for the long runs is on Race Fuel Planner.
What you get
Week 1 is free. $24 unlocks the rest of the weeks, the miles and vert chart, the calendar, the CSV, and print. A 100 mile race uses the same form and needs at least 16 weeks.
Build a 50K previewUltraPlan is a general trail schedule, not medical advice and not a substitute for a coach or a physician. Stop for chest pain, dizziness, or pain that changes your stride. Cutoffs, aid, and crew notes are planning numbers, not a promise the race will hold that clock.
